Camping was Awesome!

Well, we are back from the camping trip! Thank you Jesus for my house with the large rooms, big private showers and not having to walk 100 yards to the potty!!!!!! Hee Hee! I love camping but there are some things you just need to have and you can't do without after a while! The boys had a blast riding bikes, fishing, casting, riding in the boat and just running around. Caleb caught a pretty good sized white bass 13 1/2 inches to be exact. He was so excited! Jared and Aaron bombed out in the fish catching. Jared was upset but Aaron just loved casting and reeling it back in. In fact, by day number 2 we had his pole rigged up with just a bobber. It was a lot less dangerous! He only managed to catch a couple of trees and hit a few people in the head! He got really good at casting and could really make it sail! Caleb and I rode bikes a long way. By day number two both of our backsides were soooooooooo sore from those little seats! I think they have made them harder since we were kids! We came home sunburned and tired with a ton on laundry smelling like the lake! Brian's brother and his wife and son were there also. It was so nice getting to hang around them. With our busy lives, it's hard to get together. Aunt Brandy was a real trooper and had to play Old Maid and Go Fish way too much! Uncle Dennis got to haul Caleb around on the boat all weekend and Cousin Mason played soccer with Jared, taught Caleb to hook a minnow on his hook, and played with Aaron a lot! They stayed in a screened in shelter down by the lake. It got cold and windy down there. Caleb slept in a cot with them the first night and thought he was going to turn into an ice cube. He is all city boy and doesn't do too well in the cold! The next night he sent Daddy to sleep in his cot and slept with me in the trailer. Much, much warmer in Me Maw's trailer! In the end we had a great time and left us wishing we lived some place where the kids could ride bikes, hike and fish all they wanted! I think I would never see them if we did! Today it's raining, cold, and wet! Thank you Jesus we are not camping today!!!!!! Today we nap and rest! Have a great spring break!
