So much to tell!

How has it been really that long since I have posted anything! I can't believe it! Well, spring break was awesome! I loved the break! I could still be a stay at home mom and home school my kids in a heartbeat! I love to be around them that much! Of course, Brian reminds me that I am not trying to teach them Math during spring break so of course we love it! The kids had a great break from homework and the daily routine. After camping, we chilled and relaxed on Tuesday and Wednesday. In fact, we relaxed so much that Jared had a crying fit when I made him get out of the PJ's to go to Wal-Mart with me on Wednesday. They are really home bodies! Thursday was filled with shopping for Easter clothes and getting ready to go to Six Flags. On Friday, we loaded the Hillcrest bus and took the youth group to Six Flags. We left at 6:00 a.m from the church. Which means, I had to get up at 4:00 to be ready! Brian drove the bus because he has a CDL permit so that is the reason we get to go on these fun trips. After getting on the bus all the kids promptly go back to sleep (which is great!) About 2 hours into the trip Aaron wakes up and tells me his tummy hurts. ( Now we have thought in the back of our minds that Aaron might get motion sickness because he complained when going to and from Brownwood) However, he has NEVER had problems before. Well guess what, yep the threw up a whole juice box all over himself, Jared (who was unlucky enough to be in the line of fire), the seat and all of the stuff animals he brought! Good thing he had only had a juice box! Anyway, God is so good! God placed a Wal-Mart store 3 blocks from where he threw up! We hopped off the bus made a bathroom pit stop, bought him and Jared a new outfit, and a box of motion sickness pills and were back on the road in 20 minutes! Only God could work out the details like well! After getting back on the road we arrive at Six Flag. OK,we should have figured our something was wrong we we sat in a traffic jam for 45 minutes just to get into the park. After getting there, we realized that approximately 33,000 (yes I did say 33,000) people were in the park also!!!!!!!! The waiting lines for the major rides were 4 hours long!!!!!!!! We stood in line for 45 minutes to get a turkey leg! It was NUTS! It was Christian Youth Day (which we knew going up there) but who would have thought that they would let 33,000 Christians into the place!!!!! After, spending the day riding the kiddie rides (which thank you Jesus, were only 20 minute waits) and shopping we headed back to the bus, only to find a dead battery because we had left the lights on! This day kept getting better and better:) However, God was still in control and he had the park security jump start us (we were the 10th bus that day to be jumped off, so we aren't the only ones who leave the lights on). That is how we found out how many people were in the park! The security guard told us the number. Thankfully, after all the little glitches we didn't have anymore problems and promptly returned back to Hillcrest at 1:00 a.m.! What a day! Needless to say we slept until 11:00 a.m. on Saturday!
Sunday was Easter. We woke up to rain, rain, rain! What is it about Easter Sunday that always brings the worst weather on that day. Friday, we got sunburned at the park and by Sunday it was 50 and raining! Anyway, our preacher did an awesome job with the sermon on that day! You need to check it out on our church web site. We put out 1,000 Easter eggs and the kids did a run and grab egg hunt. They had a blast of course. Judy took lots of pictures for me since my camera bit the dust. I will have to get her memory card and upload them and post them soon. Well, school has started back again and homework is in full swing. Jared is very nervous because he has to take his first spelling sentence test and write in cursive this week. He is such a perfectionist that he wants it to look beautiful. I just told him to get it on the paper any way he can! Well, I had better run. Lots to do and so little time! God bless and keep in touch!
